CENTURY DRILL & TOOL CO INC 97328 Irwin 14 mm x 1.50 Metric Tap is made of high carbon steel and is ideal for routine maintenance, repair work, and for rethreading where high accuracy and tolerance thread is not critical. It has straight flutes that are ground to provide rapid chip removal for efficient threading. It is designed for hand threading work in a variety of materials and produces a Class 2B thread. It requires a drill bit of 12.50 mm or 1/2". It is an unpackaged bulk product. Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and other construction activities contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.  Some examples of these chemicals are: lead from lead-based paints, crystalline silica from bricks and cement and other masonry products, and arsenic and chromium from chemically-treated lumber.  Your risk from these exposures varies, depending on how often you do this type of work.  To reduce your exposure to these chemicals: work in a well ventilated area, and work with approved safety equipment, such as those dust masks that are specially designed to filter out microscopic particles.
